U.S. Department of Peace: Healing the Soul of America?

Did you know that if you don't believe God is in everyone you are working against world peace? This is what many who are promoting HR808 in the U.S. House of Representatives believe. And thus far, 288 House members have expressed approval for a bill that would create a U.S. Department of Peace.

Far left Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) introduced this bill and he and others believe a Cabinet level Department of Peace just might chase evil, war, and terrorism away!

So they state they will "augment our current problem solving options, providing practical, nonviolent solutions to the problems of domestic and international conflict." Presto! Create this Department of Peace and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong Ill, China's gulag thugs, the tormentors in the Sudan, and radical Islam will be transformed! We will gather together to sing "Give Peace a Chance" and the world will be transformed without the transforming God. That's important as this is man's efforts without Him.

This legislation will pass, according to some Washington insiders, unless there is another wave of citizens who will rise up and speak up by contacting their reps in Washington.

You can hear Communist Van Jones on the official Web site as he denounces democracy. Strange how a guy like Jones, whose ideology has killed tens of millions, is now all about peace.

But who is the unofficial ambassador for all of this? Famous "New Ager" Marianne Williamson whose "Course in Miracles" has deceived so many people over the years. This seductive, "new spirituality" book was hyped by Oprah Winfrey every day in 2009 on Oprah's Internet outlet. Winfrey continues to be a major player in this movement. She is a guru in the shadows providing a platform for every form of deception and delusion imaginable. And millions swallow her Kool-Aid as though all of her words and her guests represent gospel truth.

Warren Smith points out in chapter 6 of his e-book, Reinventing Jesus Christ, that Williamson states, "Yes, we see there are prob?lems in the world. But we believe in a universal force that, when activated by the human heart, has the power to make all things right. We need to declare peace now, with as much serious effort and intention as that with which a nation declares war." Williamson, Barbara Marx Hubbard, and others on this peace train, insist that this will "heal the soul of America."

Here is a small sample of what Williamson believes. In the Course of Miracles she says, "The journey to the cross should be the last useless journey."

Or, how about this: "Do not make the pathetic error of clinging to the old rugged cross."

And since she doesn't believe in sin, Hitler never sinned. He made mistakes.

This is, in part at least, the ideology of this Department of Peace that is on the horizon! And I can't make these things up as it exceeds my imagination! Do these 288 members of the U.S. House of Representatives really know what they are signing on to? Call, write, e-mail, or fax them and let them know!

You can also hear Walter Kronkite make stunning statements about war and peace here. He says that in spite of terrorism and war, hope is on the way! That would be the U.S. Department of Peace! He lauds the fact that soon there will be no automatic weapons, violence in schools, etc. We could show the world that "peace is our profession." All U.S. consulates could fly the American flag and the peace flag.

Such foolishness, and that is what the Bible calls it! "For when they shall say peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape" (I Thess.5:3).

These people totally ignore man's sinful nature. They believe that forming a committee or a Cabinet position will bring about nirvana. They mock the Prince of Peace and would never bring Him into their peace negotiations and discussions.

They are convinced that all the world will be well once this Department of Peace is up and running!

The Bible says of the Antichrist, "By peace he shall destroy many" (Daniel 8:25). Is this paving the way?
