2010 Could Be Pivotal Year for Israel

Jim HutchensBy Jim Hutchens

Danny Ayalon, former Ambassador of Israel to the United States and now the Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel, said: There is this perception that Israel is occupying stolen land and that the Palestinians are the only party with national, legal and historic rights to it. Not only is this morally and factually incorrect, but the more this narrative is being accepted, the less likely the Palestinians feel the need to come to the negotiating table. Statements like these … are not only incorrect; they push a negotiated solution further away.

God says: “I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. I will rejoice in doing them good and will most assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.” - Jeremiah 32:40

The Jerusalem Connection says: The fact of the matter is the Palestinians do not want a negotiated solution, unless of course, that would mean the total annihilation of the modern state of Israel – which is not going to happen. Not only does Israel have Biblical guarantees to the land but it has been established by international law as well. 2010 could be a pivotal year in Israel’s relationship to the Hamas and Hezbollah Jihadists that are sponsored by Iran. Due to the timid appeasement policies of the U.S., it appears it is just a matter of time before Israel is forced to eliminate the existential threat posed by Iran. Hopefully the defeat of the Jihadists on Israel’s northern and southern borders will soon follow.
