The latest population records from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics reveal that the total population of the state of Israel is more than 7.5 million with 75% of that population, over 5.6 million, being Jewish, the largest population of Jews in any nation of our world.
During 2009, the Israeli population grew by 1.8% with 20% of Israel's population being Arabs and over 300,000 from other ethnic groups with four times as many babies being born as there have been deaths recorded in Israel.
One significant number in the increase of Israeli population was the total number of new immigrants in 2009, a rise of 17% increase in immigration made by Jews from around the world into the Jewish state of Israel.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The ever increasing population of the state of Israel is evidence that Bible prophecy is today being fulfilled.
With the release of the new population numbers from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics which reports that Israel's present population has reached 7.5 million people, we see that Jewish people continue to come back to the land of their forefathers. The 17% increase in the number of Jew immigrating to Israel indicates that Jews outside of Israel realize their responsibility to return to the land of their forefathers. This report is evidence that Bible prophecy is in the process of being fulfilled.
The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2,500 years ago that the Lord would reach into the four corners of the earth and bring Jews back home to Israel. Ezekiel 34:11-30 records the Lord's statement of "I will" and He uses that phrase 18 times: "I will find my people wherever they have been scattered", "I will bring them into the land of their forefathers, the land of Israel", "I will feed them on the mountains of Israel like a good shepherd feeds his flock", and the "I wills" continue 18 times, I will find my people and bring them back into their land.
The latest population numbers released by Israel indicates that Ezekiel's prophecies are indeed being fulfilled today.
