Russia to "Turn on" Iranian Nuclear Reactor by Year's End; Obama Administration Continues to Live in a "Political Fog"

In world news today it is being reported that the head of the Russian nuclear organization has issued a statement declaring that Iran's Russian made nuclear reactor will be started by the end of the year. The YNetNews website reports:
Russian news agencies quote the country's nuclear agency chief as saying a Russian-built nuclear power reactor in Iran is still set to be switched on this year. State-run RIA-Novosti and ITAR-Tass quote Sergei Kiriyenko as saying plans remain for a start-up of the reactor near the Iranian city of Bushehr by the end of the year.
This announcement by the Russians comes on the heels of the recent reports that show that Israel has moved a significant portion of their naval forces through the Suez Canal in recent weeks. All indications are that this is a very clear signal to Iran that Israel is serious about dealing with the Iranian nuclear program even if no one else in the world is serious about dealing with it. And as we have seen since US President Obama has taken office not a single thing has been done to stop the Iranian nuclear program. In fact, Obama has done nothing but encourage the Iranians to continue to go full-steam ahead towards their nuclear ambitions. With the Obama administration meeting with the Syrians and many other rogue, terrorist states there is simply no deterrent force in the US arsenal to help reign in the Iranian nuclear program. Any chance to possibly resolve the Iranian nuclear threat left the US when President George W. Bush left office.

It is my belief that the Islamic powers sense a dramatic change in the attitude of the US. Some have suggested that the US has simply resigned itself to a nuclear Iran. In fact, in today's news we see current US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton talking about providing allies in the Middle East with coverage under the US nuclear umbrella should Iran gain nuclear weapons. The Jerusalem Post is quoting Secretary Clinton as saying:
US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was in Thailand on Wednesday, on a leg of her second trip to Asia this year. "The United States is back," she declared upon arrival in the Thai capital Tuesday. In an appearance Wednesday morning on a Thai TV talk show she said, "President Obama and I are giving great importance to this region," suggesting that the administration of former President George W. Bush neglected US interests in Asia.

She also said the US has a plan to prevent Iranian domination in the Middle East if it gets the nuclear bomb. "We want Iran to calculate what I think is a fair assessment: that if the United States extends a defense umbrella over the region, if we do even more to develop the military capacity of those [allies] in the Gulf, it is unlikely that Iran will be any stronger or safer."

So, here we see Clinton talking of terms in which there could be a chance that Iran obtained nuclear weapons. This is simply the wrong message to send to Iran and the rest of the world. To me, Clinton is basically saying that the US is not going to do what is guaranteed to stop the Iranians, so that in case the diplomatic plan fails and Iran becomes a nuclear power, then the US will simply provide it's allies in the region with coverage under the US nuclear umbrella. This is just the worst kind of liberal appeasement that we could possibly make.

Diplomatic talks, sanctions, etc. have not resulted in a single iota of deterrence to the Iranians and it never will because they are clearly bent on acquiring nuclear weapons of mass destruction. The Iranians are trying feverishly to acquire these weapons so they can have a "nuclear holocaust" so as to once and for all get rid of that pesky little "Jewish" problem that seems to irritate them so much. In fact, Israel is apparently reading Clinton's comments in the same light, as they "ripped" her today as seen in the Haaretz news:

A key minister in the Israeli government criticized U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's statement on Tuesday that Washington would provide "a defense umbrella" for its allies in the Middle East in the event that Iran develops nuclear weapons. Dan Meridor, Israel's minister for secret services, told Army Radio that the comments imply a willingness to reconcile with the eventuality of a nuclear-armed Iran.

"I heard, unenthusiastically, the Americans' statement that they will defend their allies in the event that Iran arms itself with an atomic bomb, as if they have already reconciled with this possibility, and this is a mistake," Meridor told Army Radio. "Now, we don't need to deal with the assumption that Iran will attain nuclear weapons but to prevent this." Clinton said on Tuesday that the U.S. has a plan to prevent Iranian domination in the Middle East if it gets the nuclear bomb.
I have to say that in light of Clinton's comments that I agree with Dan Meridor that Iran needs to be stopped as it concerns the nuclear issue. Moving ahead with the assumption that Iran will obtain nuclear weapons and resorting to "plan B" is a big mistake in my opinion. But given that the liberal US administration lives in a "political fog" it's no wonder they see things the way they do. Only after a nuclear bomb goes off in several US cities would the liberal left-wing US government finally see that their plans for Iran are foolhardy. But even then they might not see it.

In other news, a senior member of Fatah "aka" as Israel's "partner for peace" has declared that they will never recognize Israel's right to exist. A YNetNews article reported:
As the Fatah movement prepares for its upcoming leadership convention, a senior group member says the event will be used to display Fatah's commitment to the armed struggle against Israel. Preparations for the convention, scheduled for August 4, are in full force at this time. During a series of preliminary meetings ahead of the event, senior Fatah official Rafik al-Natsheh said that the group will not be recognizing Israel. 'We will maintain the resistance option in all its forms and we will not recognize Israel," he said. "Not only don't we demand that anyone recognize Israel; we don't recognize Israel ourselves. However, the Palestinian Authority government is required to do it, or else it will not be able to serve the Palestinian people."
Of course, for students of Bible prophecy none of this is news, but it is simply a continuation of the evil and satanic plans that are going on behind the world scenes and in the spiritual realm. Regardless of whether the Palestinians say they will recognize Israel or not, God has said that he will not allow their evil plans to prosper and that in the coming Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, and Ezekiel 38-39 wars God will take out his anger on Israel's enemies who have hatched plans to "wipe her off the map" and to "remember her name no more".

To all of this I say, "Keep looking up, your redemption is drawing nigh!!"
