Misleading America on Healthcare Reform Is Polite for Lying

Elected leaders are supposed to lead, not mislead. But that is exactly what the man who occupies the Oval Office (OOO) did in his news conference about health care - he misled the American people. In his opening remarks, he said,
"you have the option to keep your insurance if you're happy with it. It will prevent insurance companies from dropping your coverage."
Not exactly. On page 16 of the healthcare legislation it says that you can keep your insurance so long as there are no changes by the carrier. If there are any changes, you will be required by law to select a government approved health insurance plan.

OOO said that the healthcare reform...
"will not add to our deficit over the next decade - and I mean it."
However, Congressional Budget Office estimates that the plan will add some $239 billion to the deficit over the next ten years. CBO says the cost of the program to the taxpayers will be $1.042 trillion over the next ten years. And AP reports that...
"Beyond that, budget experts have warned about various accounting gimmicks that can mask true burdens on the deficit. The bipartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget lists a variety of them, including backloading the heaviest costs at the end of the 10-year period."
OOO said...
"We also want to create an independent group of doctors and medical experts who are empowered to eliminate waste and inefficiency in Medicare on an annual basis."
This tribunal will also ration healthcare by determining who will receive treatment and who will not. On pages 425-430 of the legislation, senior citizens will be required to submit to a government counseling session every five years or more often if they become sick or are in a nursing home. The sessions will discuss whether they should receive antibiotics or "the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration." This is tantamount to coerced euthanasia. Indeed the bill will also force taxpayers to support government funded abortion.

The White House says socialized medicine is a right. The legislation, however, tramples the inalienable rights of Life, Liberty and pursuit of happiness. It forces government healthcare upon its citizens, fining them if they do not participate. It supports a death culture by allowing unelected government tribunals to determine who receives healthcare and by forcing taxpayers to pay for government funded abortions. And nothing that is forced upon people has anything to do with the right to Liberty. This will put the government in control of your life. Psalm 94:16 says,
"Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?"
We must stand together, NOW.
