The Number 2 Man In Al Qaeda Claims That The Military Action In The Gaza Strip Is President Elect Obama's Gift To Israel

By Jimmy DeYoung

In a new audio message released by Al Qaeda's number 2 leader, Al Zawahiri, he lashed out at President Elect Barack Obama accusing him of not doing anything to stop Israel's offensive in the Gaza Strip. These comments are the first made by Al Qaeda since Israel launched its offensive against the Islamic militants of Hamas.

Al Zawahiri described Israel's action in Gaza as a crusade against Islam and Muslims, and he called it, "Obama's gift to Israel" before he takes over later this month while at the same time, calling Egypt's President Mubarak a traitor for not opening Egypt's border with Gaza to allow free flow of personnel and munitions. Al Zawahiri called on Muslims to join the fight against Zionist crusader campaign and for Islamic terrorists to strike Israel's interests everywhere they can reach them.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Al Qaeda's statement blaming President Elect Obama for Israel's military action in Gaza is, in principle, a true accusation according to Bible prophecy.

President Elect Barack Obama has been very quiet about the ongoing Israeli military action against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Obama has basically taken a page out of President Bush's playbook and has allowed Israel to deal with the terrorist threat by Hamas against Israelis in the Jewish state.

However, it is important to notice that not only have President Bush and President Elect Obama been somewhat silent on the campaign, most of the Arab world has been uncharacteristically quiet about how the Israelis are dealing with Hamas. Even the other faction of the Palestinian body politic, the Fatah organization - the ruling party of the Palestinian legislature, and the Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas, have said Hamas deserves what it is getting in this conflict.

What is interesting is that the non-statements of political leaders are being perceived as approval of Israel's actions. This is again evidence that God will use human world leaders to accomplish His will, according to Revelation 17:17. God created human government (Genesis 9:6) for the purpose of giving direction to this world. In the last days, world political leaders will move the world into the scenario that Bible prophecy has been calling for since it was first written 2500 years ago.

Silence from world leaders, even the American President Elect Barack Obama, is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
