With less than two weeks until the general election, voters now have access online to a voter guide that evaluates candidates from a biblical perspective.

AFA Action, which is affiliated with the Mississippi-based American Family Association, has released its "2012 Values Voter Guide" that allows citizens to enter their address, see the "grade" assigned to candidates running for national office, and read the details behind those grades.

"The Nation Faces a Critical Election When Stakes Have Never Been Higher"

The guide was developed by a group of panelists selected for their conservative credentials and belief in constitutional government, free enterprise, strong national defense, and traditional Judeo-Christian values—such as the sanctity of life and marriage.

Buddy Smith, executive vice president of AFA Action, says information is provided that will assist the voter in determining who will best represent their Christian values if elected to public office.

"We need to elect men and women to office who will stand firmly for biblical principles [and] who will vote conservatively," he explains.

Panelists for the voter guide assigned a grade indicating what kind of voting record that candidate would likely receive from a multi-issue conservative organization like AFA Action.

"All the information is gathered there for you to take a look at it and help you to vote wisely on November 6—and that's our goal," states Smith. "It's not to endorse any particular candidate or party, but as Christians we need to know where these candidates stand on issues of such great importance that we're facing in this upcoming election."

Smith maintains the nation faces a critical election when stakes have never been higher.

The voter guide, available at AFAAction.net, allows individuals to view online and print for distribution. Also available are mobile voter guide apps for Android and iPhone.
