The Muslim Brotherhood's Sneak Attack on America

After a 14-year-old Bangladeshi girl named Hena Begum was forcibly raped, kicking and screaming, by a 40-year-old married man on Sunday, Jan. 30, a Shariah court the next day sentenced her – the rape victim – to receive 100 lashes for having engaged in an illicit "affair." Henna was given no chance to appeal, and the sentence was carried out immediately. After between 70 and 80 lashes, the little girl collapsed into unconsciousness and was taken to the hospital – where she bled to death.

Islamic apologists will tell you such an atrocity is an abuse of Shariah law, or the excess of some remote, rural tribal council. Hogwash. Rape victims are frequently flogged and imprisoned under Shariah, as when a Saudi court in early 2009 sentenced a 23-year-old female who had been gang-raped by five men to 100 lashes and a year in jail. Her crime? Accepting a lift from a man who drove her against her will to his house and took turns, with four of his friends, raping her. Same with a 2007 case where the Saudi Justice Ministry sentenced a girl gang-raped by seven men to six months in prison and 200 lashes.

Speaking of Saudi Arabia, who can forget when the kingdom's "religious police" allowed 15 young girls to die horrible deaths when a fire broke out in their school in Mecca on March 11, 2002? The religious police, or Mutaween, literally blocked firefighters from saving the girls because they weren't dressed in the proper Islamic way for girls and women to be seen outdoors. With helpless firemen watching, the religious police literally beat the girls – those who were not wearing their headscarves or abayas – back into the inferno.

This criminally insane behavior, my friends, is Shariah, the barbaric, seventh-century legal system Islamists are hell-bent on imposing on the entire world.

In the wake of the Egyptian turmoil and subsequent abdication of the presidency by Hosni Mubarak, the Obama administration has had many opportunities to weigh in on the Muslim Brotherhood, the shadowy transnational Islamist organization dedicated to establishing Shariah throughout the world, including in America.

As is usual for Obama – who seems secretly to empathize with everything subversive and anti-American – the president has refused to condemn the Brotherhood. His director of national intelligence, James Clapper, went a step further, downplaying the Brotherhood's influence and ambitions and bizarrely referring to the dedicated Islamist group as "largely secular."

Since the Obama administration apparently has such a difficult time thinking logically about anything, let's reduce the facts of Shariah and the Muslim Brotherhood down to a simple, inescapable, purely logical syllogism:

  • Shariah – Islamic law – is unspeakably cruel, barbaric and inhuman.
  • The Muslim Brotherhood is unalterably dedicated to imposing Shariah on the entire world, with a special emphasis on America.
  • Therefore, the Muslim Brotherhood is America's enemy.
Nothing could be clearer than this. And yet, the Muslim Brotherhood – while preparing for an ever-larger role not only in Egypt but throughout the Middle East – is also making major inroads, through its many proxies, right here in America.

And it is doing so by employing the exact same dual strategy the left has successfully employed for decades to transform America.

Whether it's Marxism or Shariah Islam, efforts to transform America always seem to involve two fronts. And though we generally win the overt, intimidating, threatening battles, we always lose the covert, seductive, "peaceful" battles – and thus we lose the war.

To understand how Islam has made such remarkable inroads into Europe and the U.K., and how the same fate awaits America if we don't wake up, let's get our bearings by taking a quick trip back to pre-transformation, "normal" America.

How Subversion Works

I grew up in suburban Washington, D.C., during the 1950s. It was an innocent time. Kennedy hadn't been assassinated, there wasn't much divorce, and everyone loved Christmas. I didn't know what abortion or homosexuality were, and I had never even heard of people taking illegal drugs except in far-off ghettos. My school taught the three "Rs" and didn't teach about condoms. After school I got a snack and watched "Leave It to Beaver" and "Father Knows Best."

America was prosperous, strong and unified, and its culture was unapologetically Judeo-Christian. Despite all its flaws, America was simply the greatest nation on earth.

And the rest of the world knew it. People flocked here from all over, including my father who, as a little boy, barely escaped along with his mother from the Armenian Genocide. His father was murdered by the Turks, and his baby sister succumbed as well. In all, I lost dozens of family members, perhaps as many as 100, in the jihadist genocide of one and a half million Christian Armenians – the predecessor to the Nazi Holocaust 30 years later. For people like my father and grandmother, America was what the Promised Land was to the ancient Hebrews. They were inexpressibly grateful to be welcomed here. Though they came with nothing, they somehow thrived, got an education, became successful and prosperous and had families – all because of the generosity of America and the freedom and opportunity this country gave them.

This is the America that was imprinted on me – and on you, if you're old enough. This is the America you love.

However, ever since the 1960s we've lived in a blur. Although we remember the long hair, the "British invasion" and the obsession with psychedelic drugs, the really important, consequential things were happening on America's college campuses. Unbeknownst to almost everyone at the time, our nation was being assaulted by radical revolutionary movements: women's liberation, black liberation, sexual liberation, gay liberation, animal liberation, multiculturalism, political correctness and so on. But it was like a blur – we didn't really know what we were looking at, where it was coming from, and where it was taking us.

For decades, we blurred along like this. Even though our knowledge and technology were growing and transforming our world, giving us the illusion of constant progress, something was wrong. Crazy things kept happening. There were scandalous Supreme Court decisions no one could understand – banning prayer and Bible reading, but legalizing the killing of beautiful little babies. There was also a rapid upsurge in cults, atheists, New Agers and witches, not to mention hordes of angry homosexuals demanding special rights and denouncing anyone who disagreed with them.

Alongside all this developed an ever-increasing contempt – even demonization – toward Christianity, the religion that formed the basis for America and Western Civilization. It seemed that as a people we were in a pitched battle with ourselves – literally at war with our own core founding values.

But again, all this was a blur. It was hard to pin down what was happening, where it was all coming from and where it was heading.

Then finally, in late 2008, something broke the spell: We elected Barack Hussein Obama as president. Consider that America's most vexing problems in the modern age have revolved largely around two very dangerous, expansionist political/religious/military worldviews – Marxism and Shariah Islam. And yet, we elected as president someone with a very strong affinity for both. Obama was a Muslim as a youth – that's not my opinion, it's a matter of public record. He was also steeped in Marxism and radical left-wing street tactics for years – again, public record.

But we didn't hear about his background from the big media, who instead anointed Obama as a political messiah, comparing him with Jesus and God. In what became a full-fledged cult of personality, complete with people fainting right and left at his rallies, millions of people hypnotically, emotionally pinned all of their hopes and dreams on Obama. And so on Election Day, 69 million of us voted for him – 53 percent of the American electorate.

Then, almost immediately, reality struck. Under the pretext of saving the economy, Obama, along with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, attempted to turn America into a socialist state overnight, with astonishing levels of deficit spending, mega-bailouts and government takeovers of entire economic sectors including the auto industry, not to mention forcing the "holy grail" of socialism – government-run health care – on an unwilling America. Two years later, the nation was in open revolt against Obama and the leftist-controlled Congress.

This awakening – manifest in the tea-party movement and November's historic election – forced us to ask the following painful question:

How could it be that millions of Americans fought and bled, and many died, on foreign shores to contain an evil ideology variously called communism, Marxism, socialism – and yet now a few years later, we look up at the pinnacle of power in our own country and see someone in thrall to that very ideology we fought and died to protect strangers from?

In search for answers, Americans listened to talk radio, watched Glenn Beck, read WorldNetDaily and Whistleblower, scoured books on the subject – and discovered our real history about the long-term leftist infiltration and subversion of America, which we had never been taught in public school or college.

We learned all about the "progressives" – a pleasant euphemism for cultural Marxists. We learned about the "Frankfurt School," starring Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci and his Marxist colleagues who, right here in America during the '20s and '30s, proposed taking hold of our culture by embarking on "a long march through the institutions." We learned how these Marxist intellectuals realized Marx didn't have it quite right, and that the workers of the world were not all going to rise up in unison and violently overthrow the evil bourgeois factory owners as Marx had predicted, because those workers had been too "brainwashed" by their Christian culture!

Thus, conspiring to destroy Western culture and the religion that underpinned it – Christianity – these neo-Marxists embarked on their quest to "fundamentally transform the United States of America." And transform they did.

Over time, they and those that followed in their footsteps took control of every major institution in America right under our noses: Our public education system, our colleges and universities, our news and entertainment media, our foundations and philanthropies, even most of our churches.

Why didn't we see this coming? Why did a beautiful, noble country like America – a shining city on a hill – fall prey to leftist ideology, especially when you consider that just over 20 years ago, President Ronald Reagan defeated the "evil empire" of the Soviet Union? Don't you remember? We watched the U.S.S.R. disintegrate and the Eastern Bloc nations like Poland, Czechoslovakia and East Germany celebrate their freedom. Indeed, we beheld the glorious spectacle of formerly enslaved people taking sledge hammers to the Berlin Wall and knocking it to the ground. People of good will the world over cried and sent up shouts of joy.

So, how could we win the war against an evil ideology – and yet simultaneously lose the same war?

Simple. It's a classic two-front war. While we're engaged in repelling one battle, the enemy simultaneously conducts a stealth operation. The battle that's out in the open is threatening and intimidating and distracting; it captures our attention and draws our return fire. Meanwhile, the other front in this war is seductive, non-violent, reasonable-sounding, even appealing – and that's the one that gets us.

Until two decades ago, America was preoccupied with the threat of Soviet expansionism and, worse, global thermonuclear war – thousands of nuclear-tipped ICBMs raining terror and death down on our population centers. Scary stuff. At the same time, unbeknownst to us, there was a second front in this same war being waged against us – quietly, in a more "civilized" fashion and out of the limelight.

So this is how evil works. While our attention is engaged in fighting one battle, we're distracted from dealing with the subtler, more seductive, but ultimately more dangerous version of the exact same evil.

The 2-Front War for Shariah Dominance

We are seeing now the exact same war strategy on the part of expansionist Islam, which is engaged in a two-front assault against the West. While we are focused on the very real threat of terrorism – having created in the wake of 9/11 a massive homeland security organization tasked with monitoring, analyzing and intercepting thousands of potential dangers – another stealthier, less dramatic and seemingly less threatening campaign in the same long-term war for Shariah dominance is being carried out right under our noses.

News flash: There is an advanced level of seditious Islamist infiltration and subversion within today's America, including anti-Semitic, jihadist indoctrination and even recruiting in some of our colleges, radical teachings and incitement in the rapidly growing number of mosques and Islamic schools around the nation, jihad recruitment in our prisons thanks to taxpayer-funded radical Muslim chaplains, even subversion within our own government.

Most U.S.-based Islamists and their organizations masquerade as charitable, religious and civil-rights groups but are dedicated to replacing the Constitution with the Quran. That's not my opinion; their leaders have said so, like CAIR founder Omar Ahmad, who told a California newspaper:
"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Quran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
There's a dangerous psychology at work with the two-front war. When you consider the dual communist attack on America, a few loony-tunes Marxist professors or crazy, subversive textbooks have never seemed all that bad when compared to the threat of all-out nuclear war and tens of millions of casualties. So we didn't do anything. This same psychology is anesthetizing us when it comes to engaging the current Islamist assault on America: Compared with hijacking passenger jets and flying them into tall buildings, thereby mass-murdering thousands in a horrific inferno, a little Hamas fundraising or jihad recruiting on college campuses, or CAIR's counseling Muslims not to cooperate with the FBI, seems not too threatening. In any event, we imagine such subversion, however controversial and objectionable, to be permissible under America's expansive First Amendment rights of free speech, religion and assembly.

Therein lies our problem. Despite the fact that Shariah is fundamentally incompatible with America, and efforts to replace the U.S. Constitution with the Quran clearly amount to sedition, we have great difficulty confronting expansionist Islam in America. Part of the reason is that, although Shariah Islam is actually a totalitarian political, legal and military system and not just a religious faith in the conventional sense, it nevertheless has taken advantage of America's unique and broad First Amendment protections.

But there's another factor that makes America, just like Europe and the U.K., vulnerable to Islamization – and that is the growing level of societal self-doubt, self-hatred and rejection of our core Judeo-Christian values, thanks to several generations of a leftist educational system, news media and cultural establishment. That is why we are ripe for subversion.

What I'm describing, of course, is the nightmare of multiculturalism. Very simply, Judeo-Christian values used to constitute the light of America and Western Civilization. Over the past couple of generations, we have been tricked into turning out that light. And when you turn out the lights, everything looks the same in the dark: That's multiculturalism. All cultures are equally worthy, all ideas about morality, all religions, all forms of sexuality, all values – everything has equal worth in this meaningless and relativistic worldview.

To be brutally frank, the ultimate purpose of what we call multiculturalism is to annihilate objective values of good and evil and thereby to make evil acceptable.

Thus, in the multicultural "Alice in Wonderland" world that today dominates our nation, how can we possibly oppose Shariah Islam? It's just another worldview, no better or worse than our own – or so we're supposed to believe. Not honoring Shariah as equal to our own Judeo-Christian values is somehow insulting to its adherents. Funny, during the 1940s we had no problem with hurting the feelings of Nazis or forcefully rejecting all of that evil philosophy's suppositions and conclusions. Do you think the murderous and pathologically anti-Semitic philosophy of Islamo-fascism is somehow less evil than Nazism?

Yet, this ongoing "multicultural" surrender of our national and spiritual identity is a sure precursor of our country's disintegration and death – or, to use the more vogue term, "transformation."

How do we win this war?

As Sun Tzu famously said, if you know your enemy and know yourself you'll win every battle.

America's enemies, for the past several generations, have specialized in two things: deceiving us about who and what they really are, but also confusing us as to who we really are and what we really stand for (this being the primary purpose of the left's subversion of our educational system).

As a result – since we are no longer confident and unified about who we are as a nation, nor do we recognize our enemies when they're standing right in front of us – we have been losing.

To change course, a good start would be to take a cue from Europe's leaders, who have seen our future – since their nightmare of Islamic cultural, demographic, educational, legal and military (jihad) subversion is a few years further along than ours. Indeed, it is precisely because of the rapid Islamization of Europe that the continent's leaders are starting to wake up. In recent weeks, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Nicolas Sarkozy all have publicly disavowed the madness of multiculturalism and stressed the need to reclaim their nation's core identity.

"It's a failure," Sarkozy said of multiculturalism. "The truth is that, in all our democracies, we've been too concerned about the identity of the new arrivals and not enough about the identity of the country receiving them."

America must finally take its multicultural blinders off and realize that Shariah is evil, and that groups promoting its establishment in America are subversive, anti-American organizations and should be regarded as such.

Bottom line: Islam is inflicting a two-pronged attack on the West. One prong is jihad, intimidation, terror. The other is infiltration, seduction and deception. Both have exactly the same goal – the imposition of Shariah on the United States of America and the rest of the world.

That is why the Muslim Brotherhood and its proxy groups in the U.S. are our enemy every bit as much as the violent jihad groups the Brotherhood has spawned, from Hamas to al-Qaida. Don't be fooled by the nice-guy approach. As history proves, the revolutionary with the coat and tie is ultimately far more dangerous than the pawn carrying the explosives.
