Iran: "We'll Hit Israeli Nuclear Facilities" if Attacked

In today's news there are reports coming out of the Jerusalem Post that says that Iran has declared that if their nuclear program is attacked by the Israelis, that they will surely counter-strike against Israel's nuclear program. The Jerusalem Post reports:
Iran threatened Saturday to strike Israel's nuclear installations if it is attacked by the Jewish state, Reuters reported. "If the Zionist Regime attacks Iran, we will surely strike its nuclear facilities with our missile capabilities," Revolutionary Guards commander-in-chief Mohammad Ali Jafari told Iran's Arabic language al-Alam TV station.
As we can see here the pressure in the region is starting to escalate a little more as the Iranians know that as they close in on the nuclear finish line that the window of opportunity for the Israelis to make their move on a military strike is also closing. Israel would need to strike soon in order to make sure that the Iranian nuclear program is set back permanently or at the very least for many years and that they are not allowed to complete the nuclear process. It is in times like these that we see the full effects of "psychological warfare" that usually goes along with possible or potential military operations and conflict.

In the same article, the liberal-left US government of Barack Hussein Obama announced through Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the US would provide a "nuclear umbrella" for the region in the event of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons. To me, this sounds like a possible admission from the left-wing US government that they have absolutely no intention of doing anything serious to stop Iran other than engage in more "talks and sanctions" that have so far amounted to nothing. It is apparent to me that the spirit of Neville Chamberlain is alive and well during this point in time and that the same mistakes made back in Chamberlain's time may well be repeated here in our time. But hopefully the Israelis will develop the intestinal fortitude to do what the world is apparently unwilling to do.

As we all know, appeasement is not the best solution to dealing with mad men much less the mad mullah regime in Tehran that is bound and determined to destroy the "Great satan" and the "little satan" as the US and Israel are commonly referred to. The Jerusalem Post article went on to quote Hillary Clinton as saying:
On Wednesday US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that despite that fact that if Iran attained a nuclear weapon her country would safeguard the region with a "defensive umbrella," a diplomatic solution was still possible. "We will still hold the door open [for talks with Iran], but we also have made it clear that we'll take actions, as I've said time and time again, crippling action, working to upgrade the defense of our partners in the region," Reuters quoted Clinton as saying.
This sort of "appeasement" and "liberal left-wing" nonsense is exactly the kind of stuff that will get us in even more trouble in the future. It will embolden our enemies and result in more conflict. We saw this with the left-wing "bright idea" of giving away the Gaza strip and it just turned into "Hamastan" as a result. I am thinking that this spirit of 'Chamberlain" type appeasement will finally bring the Gog/Magog invaders to make their fatal move into the mountains of Israel and provoke the anger of the God of Israel as described in Ezekiel 38-39.

The Israelis for their part, as mentioned in the last Rapture Report, "ripped" Clinton for her comments and said that stopping Iran from developing a nuclear weapon was the best way to go rather than just going spineless and throwing in the towel of appeasement when it comes down to dealing with the Iranians. As a result, I think it is apparent and a point well taken now by the Israelis that they will be the ones left to deal with Iran and their evil nuclear program. Iran is headed by the fanatical Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who has repeatedly called for Israel "to be wiped off the map" and he has the same feelings towards the US as well. Israel simply can't rely on "talks and sanctions" or any sort of "nuclear umbrella" when it comes to their survival.

It is my prayer and hope that Christians will continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray that the Lord's Will is done here on Earth as it is done in Heaven. While the enemies of Israel plot and come together with one consent against Israel, we can take confidence and assurance that the God of Israel neither "sleeps nor slumbers" when it comes to watching over Israel. Let us continue to pray and watch as the Middle East situation unfolds. Time is short and the players are moving across the stage to take their places for the final acts of the age.

Keep looking up, your redemption is drawing nigh!!
