Near Misses, New Friendships, a New World Order

Anyone following the site's news page and reading the articles placed there has had much to take into consideration over the course of recent weeks where Bible prophecy is concerned. And how! Let's take a look at some issues of interest I've observed in the news of our world today recently that may hold prophetic significance, shall we?

Near Misses

In the prophetic future there is every reason to suspect the earth is going to be struck by an asteroid or other object from space and this week we got a glimpse of just how quickly - and with little to no warning - an event like that could unfold.

Fox News is reporting an asteroid 200 feet wide passed within 44,000 miles of the earth on Monday. While that may not seem to be a close call, that is only 1/7 of the distance between the earth and the moon and only a little over twice the distance telecommunications satellites are orbiting the planet - no laughing matter as scientists say the earth's gravitational pull may have altered the course of the object on this pass making future close calls from this object an even greater possibility.

What would've happened if the big space rock in question had entered our atmosphere? According to Fox News, it would've "exploded on or near the surface with the force of a large nuclear blast."

It is my understanding that the object, at the time of its closest distance from the earth, was over Tahiti, an island located in the South Pacific. Assuming for a moment it had struck the earth near Tahiti, can you imagine what a disaster a large nuclear-like explosion like the one that would've occurred in that scenario would be like over water? Bible prophecy seems to!

In the Tribulation Period to come we're told that a third of all marine life and a third of all shipping will be destroyed when an event that sounds very much like an asteroid strike over water occurs.

"And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed." - Revelation 8:8-9

Mankind would do well to perk its ears up to the Word of God and come to faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that as many as possible could avoid the horrific judgments of the seven-year Tribulation Period to come, all of which may be on the prophetic horizon as this recent near miss highlights for us. And remember, an event of this magnitude would only represent one of twenty-one specific judgments that will occur during that terrible time to come when God will reassert Himself as the One in charge of this world, contrary to what man seems to think these days.

New Friendships

Lately, I've made an effort to document, as closely as possible, how dramatically Turkey's leadership is changing to accommodate Bible prophecy.

As I've noted on many occasions, Turkey is prophesied to join Russia, Iran and a group of nations from areas surrounding Israel in a surprise attack documented in Ezekiel 38-39. This has, until recently, seemed unlikely given Turkey's military alliance with the West but it's getting closer to reality before our very eyes!

Consider the following:

• Ynet News reported recently that the Arab world fears an Israeli government under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu "may bring an end to the Arab peace initiative and increase the chances for another wave of violence in the region."


• The Jerusalem Post recently observed that the Islamist AKP government in Turkey is moving "toward a more and more open alignment with anti-Western and anti-Israeli forces in the region." The JP article's headline says it all: Analysis: Turkey's shift toward Iran, Syria is no short-term blip


• MEMRI recently documented that "Iranian leaders and the Iranian media have lately been stressing the need for tighter relations with Islamic Turkey, and even for forming a strategic alliance with it, as part of the regional and global confrontation between Islam and the West." Turkey's response to the overtures being made to it were summed up nicely by their ambassador to Iran who said (emphasis added mine), "The government in Ankara is willing to broaden its relations with Tehran in all areas, and to the maximal extent."

Prophetic posturing, readers! Our God's Word is true!

New World Order

A number of people have written me recently asking if the current global economic crisis lessens the likelihood that the West is going to remain a powerful player in the end times scenario foretold in Bible prophecy for the foreseeable future. My answer to those inquiries is that what we're presently seeing isn't pushing us away from the creation of a new world order but toward it, quite possibly by the design of the global elite!

As I've documented here on a number of occasions (and through my Symptoms video series), a number of leaders from the European Union, the revived Roman empire of Bible prophecy, are exploiting the current crisis to further a new world order agenda, a perfect example of which is found in an article presently appearing in the Telegraph.

The headline of the article in question is "Gordon Brown appeals to US Congress for help to save the world." What the article with the desperate plea in its title details, in my humble opinion, is nothing less than an appeal being made to the United States to assist the European Union in globalizing the world's economy, an important step toward the birth of the new world order and a single global currency - one we're being told is coming (and a lot sooner than many may think possible).

The World & Baltics News is reporting the following in part (emphasis added mine):

Head of market analysis for Schneider Foreign Exchange Stephen Gallo told CNBC yesterday that the financial crisis will lead to the creation of a global central bank and a global single currency within 15 years, echoing the call of top globalists who have exploited the problems they created to push for a new world financial order.

Highlighting the significance of the introduction of the Euro, Gallo said that the single currency was “where we are headed globally on a monetary basis over the course of the next 10 to 15 years.”

In Revelation 13:16-17, we see that a single currency is going to be introduced when the prophesied Antichrist assumes control of the new world order and a global currency is on its way to becoming a reality right now! Now, people!

Conclusions

We are living in a world that is often chaotic, unpredictable, and distressing, but isn't it good to know that a brighter day is coming and we can be sure of it by reading the news of our world today with Bible prophecy in mind?

Christians, try not to let the glum forecasts of the nightly news beat you down in these last days. Look up! Lift your heads up for our redemption draweth nigh! Jesus Christ is Lord and He is coming soon! The signs of His coming are all around us!
