The Latest Gallup Poll Says There is an Increasing Number of People that Think Global Warming is Exaggerated

By Jimmy DeYoung

Although a majority of Americans believe the seriousness of global warming is either correctly portrayed in the news or underestimated, a record high 40% now say that it is exaggerated which represents the highest level of public skepticism about mainstream reporting on global warming seen in more than a decade. Apart from their findings about news coverage of global warming, this most recent Gallup Poll shows in a similar vein that Americans are a bit less concerned about the seriousness of global warming than they have been in recent years.

The media actually could be the cause in this change of attitude by Americans as they have reported time and time again how so many different conferences and meetings set to focus on the problem of global warming had to be canceled because of the winter storms at the meeting location.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The world has been propagandized by political leaders and some scientists about this so-called global warming which contradicts the Bible but does have a significance to Bible prophecy.

After former Vice-President Al Gore left office, he took on the task of spreading the word about global warming, even making an award-winning movie to get the message out. All of this is happening even as many scientists - in fact there are hundreds of them - that are denying the phenomenon of global warming is actually happening. One world leader, the President of the Czech Republic, recently called a summit of scientists and political leaders to counter this campaign to propagandize the world on global warming.

Having said this, what does the Bible say about the possibility of global warming? Colossians 1:17 says by Him, Jesus Christ, all things were created and verse 18 says by Him, Jesus Christ, all things consist. In other words, no global warming unless Jesus allows it. However, Bible prophecy does reveal that there is coming a day of ecological judgment. In Revelation chapters 8 and 16, the prophet John, writer of Revelation, speaks of judgment on the earth and in the sea with the oceans turning to blood and the grass and trees all burning up.

This debate will continue on global warming but rest assured, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
