From the President to members of Congress, the American people have been warned that to not pass The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 would mean immediate and eminent disaster. Problem is, this trillion dollar bill is little about economic stimulus and a lot about socialism and government control over your private lives. For decades, Democrats have used as a campaign strategy the mantra that Republicans were going to take away social security from the old folks. It never happened. But now the Democrats will be using an economic stimulus bill to nationalize the health care system and specifically prevent senior citizens from receiving needed health care.
Disgraced tax evader and the White House's first choice for healthcare reform leadership, Tom Daschle, says in his book on nationalizing health care, that seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. Under the Democratic sponsored nationalized healthcare system, senior citizens will be denied critical health care treatment, starting with medicare. A National Coordinator for Health Information Technology and a Federal Coordinating Council will keep a database on your personal health records and will determine what type of health care treatment you are allowed to receive. All doctors will have to comply or face penalties.
Under this system, younger citizens with the ability to pay taxes longer would receive better healthcare. Older citizens would receive less healthcare because their lives and productivity to society -from a federal government perspective--is less. There are hundreds other such communistic themes in this economic stimulus package. There should be first a law that every American read the bill so they know what their elected officials are about to do. This bill is unconstitutional because it places every citizen's life, liberty and pursuit of happiness under the control of the federal government. It is the sacrificing of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on the altar to the government god.
Isaiah 39:6-8 prophesies to King Hezekiah: "Behold the days come, that all that is in your house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, says the Lord. And of thy sons that shall issue from you, which you shall beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which thou has spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days." Are we to be as Hezekiah and care only about our own self interest and sacrifice all that our forefathers have done and all that our children would be? Let it not be so.
