The Bible foretells the establishment of a one world order in the latter days as recognized by an exclusive economic system. Revelation 13:16-17 says, "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." World leaders are laying the groundwork for an integrated economic system similar to the one described in Revelation. In July 2008, the future American president said in his Berlin speech, "With an eye toward the future, with resolve in our hearts, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again."
Socialized capitalism appears to be how the new world will be remade. At a European conference on capitalism, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, said, "In capitalism of the 21st century, there is room for the state." Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said a new financial order must reflect "values other than the maximum short term profit." Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger told CNBC that the most important opportunity for America's new president is helping create a new world order. He said, "His task will be to develop an overall strategy for America in this period when, really, a new world order can be created. It's a great opportunity, it isn't just a crisis."
American presidents long have been advocating the one world order. President George H.W. Bush addressed Congress on September 11, 1990 as he was sending troops into Iraq: "This very moment, they serve together with Arabs, Europeans, Asians, and Africans in defense of principle and the dream of a new world order." President Clinton's January 1993 inaugural address had a new world order theme: "There is no longer division between what is foreign and what is domestic. . . Today, as an old order passes, the new world is more free but less stable." On March 6, 1991, President George W Bush told Congress, "Now, we can see a new world coming into view. A world in which there is the very real prospect of a new world order."
President Reagan, however, advocated self determination in his Evil Empire speech before the House of Commons in June 1982: "For the sake of peace and justice, let us move toward a world in which all people are at last free to determine their own destiny"-- hardly a new world order concept. But since 1988, American presidents have accelerated the new world order. And the rest of the world is in alignment. Regarding the Tower of Babel, Genesis 11:6 says: And the Lord said, Behold the people is one, and they all have one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they imagined to do." From Babel to today, the prophecy of Revelation is in play.
