Gaza: A Futuristic Example Of Peaceful Palestinian State Living Side By Side With Israel

By Bill Wilson

Diplomats pounding Israel on giving up land for peace and setting up a democratically elected Palestinian state in traditional Biblical lands of Judea and Samaria, the so-called West Bank, need look no further than Gaza to see the type of peace that would be established if such a state were allowed. Under the misguided wisdom of President George W. Bush, the Palestinians held elections. They elected the terrorist group Hamas to represent them. The Bush Administration also pressured Israel to vacate Gaza, forcing Israeli citizens to leave their farms and businesses, some under the ever present gunfire of Hamas and the Palestinians. Then Hamas took control of Gaza and has been raining down missiles on Israeli citizens ever since.

Now some 10,000 Hamas missiles and a two-year cease fire later, Israel finally has taken action by bombing Hamas targets in Gaza. The Israeli Embassy in Washington has provided constant updates to the situation in Gaza. And while the mainstream news media is claiming that Israel is essentially carpet bombing Palestinian civilians and Hamas positions, the truth is something far different. Private sources reporting to The Daily Jot from Israel, Syria and America indicates that the terrorists are once again using the pro-Palestinian media by bringing forward women and children supposedly targeted by the Israelis.

Pictures of bombing sites provided by the Israeli Embassy showed a very modern compound taken over by Hamas in 2007 that was used for stockpiling of weapons and served as a headquarters for Hamas terrorists. A spokesman for the Israeli Defense Force said, "The targets that were attacked were located by intelligence gathered during the last months and include Hamas terror operatives that operated from the organization's headquarters, training camps and weaponry storage warehouses." The IDF said that "anyone sponsoring terror, hosting terror in his house, housing terror in his basement and sending his wives and children to serve as human shields- is considered a terrorist."

The Bush Administration and the president-elect share a foolish belief that setting up a formal Palestinian state would result in peace. Gaza provides the living example of what would happen. Zechariah 12:3 says, "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered against it." Already, Bashar Assad is sending a Red Crescent convoy of aid to Gaza - the Reform Party of Syria reports that 50 tons of rockets and suicide bombing gear is disguised as medical supplies. The world believes what it believes. God's word, however, is the firm foundation of truth.
