God says: "And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that he had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." (Revelation 13:16-17)
The Jerusalem Connection says: I believe we are experiencing the beginnings of an enormous global "shaking." The Prophet said, "In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth ... I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come." (Haggai 2:6). We have just finished the "Days of Awe" that climaxes on "The Day of Atonement" (Yom Kippur). These were days when we were to confess our sins and realign ourselves with God's priorities and purposes. Best we continue in the spirit of seeking God's grace and mercy for the days ahead because the situation is going to get worse before it gets better. As the Apostle John reminds us, "This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus." (Revelation 14:12).
