Red Light Vote at UNESCO

In what was described as a crucial “UN test vote,” UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) voted Monday to grant full membership to the ‘State of Palestine.”

The 107 nations voting in favor included South Africa, China, Russia, Brazil, India and France. Among the 14 votes against were the US, Canada and Germany. Britain abstained.

Delegates cheer after they approved the membership of Palestine during Monday's session of UNESCO's 36th General Conference in Paris.Huge cheers reportedly went up in UNESCO after the results were announced. One shouted “Long Live Palestine!” in French.

The agency’s decision came as the United Nations Security Council continued its deep discussion about awarding full UN membership to the phantom 22nd Arab state.

Experts suggest the Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO’s) at the Paris-based UNESCO headquarters success will boost its chances to pass muster with the Security Council.

While no State of Palestine exists (or ever has), it is the avowed purpose of the international community to create one on the biblical and mountainous heartland of Israel and in the Gaza Strip – with a belt of land linking the territories and cutting what would be left of Israel in two. For decades the world – which rejects the Jews’ claim to Samaria and Judea, including Jerusalem – has been striving for this end.

The PLO has been fiercely lobbying – and continues to lobby – member states for support. Latest reports indicate it still has only eight of the nine votes it needs, with Bosnia remaining undecided.

The Security Council is expected to vote on the question on or around November 11, 2011.

For Israel, the traction gained by the PLO’s quest has constituted immense and unremitting pressure to give in to “Palestinian” preconditions for resuming negotiations.

Increasing that load has been the announcement of the Quartet (the UN, European Union, United States and Russia) that it failed in its just-completed mission to try and kick start the “peace process.” The situation, it cautioned, looks bleak.

Piling on with the latest act of brinkmanship, PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas last week threatened to resign as chairman of the Palestinian Authority (PA), and dissolve it.

And adding his contribution Monday, pro-Palestinian UN special coordinator for the “peace process,” Robert Serry, warned Israel that the PA’s collapse could trigger renewed violence in “the West Bank.”

“If things go wrong,” he said, “don’t expect the international community to bail you out.”

Meanwhile the United States had reportedly threatened to withhold $80 million in funding from UNESCO if the vote to admit “Palestine” passed. Will the Americans make good on their threat?

More Signs Israel Preparing to Launch Attack

A U.S. intelligence source has told G2Bulletin there are more indicators Israel is preparing to launch an attack – possibly against Iran. And if it does, it may be looking at how to undertake a multi-front strategy that would include an assault against Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in the Gaza Strip or even Syria, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

Possible routes for Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear programSeparate sources suggest that Syria would welcome such an attack to divert attention from its own internal violent demonstrations against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The latest indications and warnings, or I&W, come two weeks following G2Bulletin's initial report that the Pentagon was watching for a long-anticipated Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear sites. That came after revelations of an alleged Iranian plot to kill the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States. At that time, a U.S. intelligence source who monitors Israeli I&W said the U.S. was watching "an indicator and warning matrix" in which the U.S. can "go so far as to plot the illumination tables to pick out what nights would be best" for such an attack.

He said that U.S. analysts were concerned that an attack could be "imminent." The intelligence source said there was a "green light" for the Israelis "to do a strike," although it wasn't clear whether that green light is coming from within the Israeli political and military command structure, or from the U.S. government.

The source now reports further I&W to include unusual helicopter traffic at one of the Israeli training bases.

The source reports that the traffic involves some 20 utility helicopters and three attack helicopters.

The Peace Plan Is a Lie

Jim FletcherBy Jim Fletcher

With Tunisia and Libya now going over to Sharia law, Egypt heading that way, and other regimes becoming more destabilized in the Middle East, one wonders how the U.S. State Department and White House could be so naïve.

Are they?

Of course, we helped arm and train the Taliban a generation ago, against the Soviets, so nothing should surprise us. I well remember cheering-on the rag-tag Taliban against the great Red Threat.

One of the effects of the “Arab Spring” is the surely near-fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39. North Africa is now wholly in the hands of Muslim terrorists. By the way, no one talks about it, but the odds are not good that an Iraq minus the American Army will be anything but a menace to Israel.

Despite all this (or maybe because of it), Bibi Netanyahu is surging in the polls in Israel. His countrymen trust him to do everything possible to keep Israel safe.

In the West, though (ironically), dangers gather for the Jewish state. This is mostly in the form of media, Christian and leftist (mainstream).

If you go to http://thepeaceplan.com/PeaceWork/never_again_for_anyone_stop_genocide you will find a group called “Never Again, For Anyone. Stop Genocide.” The group is apparently from Laguna Beach, California - Rick Warren’s backyard. Yet there is precious little information about the group, save for the “overview” listed on the page: “To educate, assist and raise funds for the victims of continuing Genocide in Sudan, Columbia and Palestine.”

Wow! This group is linked to Warren’s PEACE plan and they insist that genocide is going on in “Palestine.” This leftist, false view of reality in Israel is diabolical.

  • ”Palestine” as in, the state of Palestine, does not exist. Because the Palestinians have been given autonomous blocks of land in the West Bank, leftists in the American Church thirst to set foot in “Palestine.” They are calling into existence that which does not exist. It is a political name intended to further de-legitimize Israel.
  • The charge of “genocide,” meaning that Israel is murdering Arabs within its own borders, is a damnable lie. It is the ultimate in bearing false witness, and God will judge it. The Israelis have never practiced genocide, but of course have been forced to defend themselves every second of every day for 63 years. Genocide has been committed by Muslims in Sudan, and by Marxist terrorists in Columbia, but while the Arabs would love to practice genocide against the Jews in Israel, to allege the reverse is false and unacceptable.
Twice I have emailed Warren’s site, but have not received an answer as to why they have linked to the Laguna Beach group. This loathsome stance by Warren himself - his name attached is an endorsement - is unacceptable and will not go unchallenged.

Rick WarrenWarren insulates himself behind a frontline staff at Saddleback, and then by extension, through his vast network of acolytes. He has been tweeting furiously lately about “critics” and his protégés like Steven Furtick and Perry Noble have done likewise. Evidently, the evangelical pope and his cardinals are hearing not only from critics but from confused parishioners who are wondering just what it is Warren really advocates.

Do you understand that Rick Warren himself, because he has attached his name to this “peace plan” and subsequent left-wing subgroups like the Laguna Beach gang, is charging Israel with genocide? Genocide?

That is sick and unacceptable.

Here is what I’m asking you to do. Monday morning at 9 a.m. Pacific, I will be phoning Saddleback Church to ask about Rick Warren’s endorsement of “Never Again, For Anyone. Stop Genocide.” The number to the main Saddleback “campus” in Lake Forest, California, is 949-609-8000. The email is info@saddleback.com.

Join me in inquiring about Rick Warren’s involvement with this group. I will be writing about this extensively until we all receive an answer from “Pastor Rick.” We already know from his involvement with Fuller Seminary, his view in The Purpose-Driven Life that the study of prophecy is a waste of time (page 286), and his chummy meeting with Bashar Assad that he’s no friend of Israel.

I am going to ask of Pastor Rick if he can document alleged Israeli genocide of Palestinians. This must be what the Laguna Beach gang is referring to.

I won’t be surprised to hear the spin from this. Maybe they are referring to genocide of mountain goats, or fire ants. But if the obvious inference is what they mean - Israeli is guilty of genocide - then Rick Warren needs to explain that.

Much more to come.

Missile Launchers Smuggled into Gaza from Libya Now Targeting Jewish Communities

Aaron KleinBy Aaron Klein

A missile launcher capable of firing up to five projectiles at once was recently smuggled into the Gaza Strip and originated in Libya, according to sources in the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization speaking to KleinOnline.

Earlier today, Islamic Jihad released a video of what it claimed was the launcher actually firing five missiles. If confirmed, this would mark the first time such a device was used in the Gaza Strip.

Abu Mussab, a senior member of Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds military wing, told KleinOnline such launchers were recently smuggled into Gaza.

“This is not the only surprise,” added Mussab.

He promised an improved missile and rocket arsenal to be used against Israel “in the very near future.”

Mossab hinted the launcher originated in Libya.

Other Islamic Jihad sources told KleinOnline the launcher indeed originated in Libya.

Today, some 20 rockets and mortar shells were fired from Gaza into southern Israel, killing one man and wounding four others.

The news media largely reported the rocket barrage came after the Israel Defense Forces carried out strikes in the Gaza Strip, killing five Islamic Jihad members.

The IDF strikes, however, targeted Islamic Jihad cells preparing to fire rockets into Israel, the IDF spokesperson’s unit told KleinOnline.

Israeli airstrikes targeted a terrorist squad in the northern Gaza strip preparing to launch rockets at Israeli communities as well as two armed rocket launchers in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israel Air Force aircraft also attacked a cell of terrorists preparing to fire long-range rockets from the southern Gaza Strip. The IDF said the same cell was responsible for the rockets fired at the Be’er Tuvia Regional Council last Wednesday.

One Sheep, One Vote

Jack KinsellaBy Jack Kinsella
The Omega Letter

A few weeks ago, a federal judge blocked key portions of Alabama’s new immigration law after several groups, including the Obama Justice Department and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), asked for an injunction.

The Department of Justice claimed that for the states to enforce federal immigration laws that the federal government refuses to enforce violates the separation of powers.

The ACLU’s immigrants rights Web page declares: “No human being is illegal.”

Well, of course no human being is illegal. This is nonsense - a straw-man argument. People are not illegal, just their actions are, such as entering the country illegally or knowingly employing someone who is here illegally.

The page states: “For more than twenty years, the Project has been … focusing on challenging laws that deny immigrants’ access to the courts, impose indefinite and mandatory detention and discriminate on the basis of nationality.”
Opponents of voter ID laws argue that such laws are unnecessary because there is no evidence of voter fraud on a scale that could affect the course of an election.

That argument ignored a one-vote margin of victory in a Kansas City, Missouri election in 2010 in which there were at least fifty illegal votes cast by citizens of Somalia.

John J. Rizzo (Democrat) defeated Republican Will Royster for State Representative by a single vote. At least 1,798 votes that were cast in that election were deemed 'suspicious.' And it is hardly the only time in American electoral history that this has happened.

A 1996 congressional race in California was almost overturned by hundreds of votes illegally cast by non citizens A 1984 grand jury in Brooklyn revealed a widespread, 14-year conspiracy that cast thousands of fraudulent votes through impersonation fraud in state and congressional elections.

Then, of course, there is the 2008 election of Barack Hussein Obama to take into consideration. The 2008 election was so crooked that three years later, we're not sure if Obama was even legally qualified to be on the ballot, let alone if all the fake ACORN votes were caught.

Opponents of voter ID laws claim that requiring voter ID suppresses the vote and unfairly targets minorities, the disabled, rural residents, senior citizens, the poor, and that these laws are used to unfairly advantage Republicans by suppressing the voters that traditionally vote Democrat.

The most amazing thing about that argument is how widespread it is, given that it is so clearly ridiculous.

Who in America does not have any form of government issued ID? Minorities? Unlikely. Minorities drive cars, write checks, have jobs and are full citizens, just like umm, non-minorities. (Unless the "minorities" under discussion here is code for those in the country illegally, that is.)

Rural residents? What the heck does that mean? Does it mean that if you live on a farm out in the country, you walk into town to get supplies? If you live out in the country, you don't use banks? Country people don't have jobs?

Senior citizens? Are we talking about people collecting Social Security benefits not being able to prove they are American citizens? Or people on Medicare that can't prove they are entitled? Are they KIDDING?

The poor? I wonder how easy it is to get welfare or food stamps or aid to dependent children or Medicare without offering any documentary evidence that you exist and are not wanted by the law?

How many low-income citizens have managed to live in America all their lives without ever obtaining legal identification? What do you think that the odds are that there are more people in these groups that have never had identification than among other groups of Americans?

This is the 21st century - and Americans are among the most carefully documented populations on the planet.

Is there ANY legitimate probability that YOU can think of that an American citizen qualified to vote in an American election cannot come up with ANY form of identification? Let me put it another way:

Can you think of ANYBODY that you know that doesn't have any form of identification? Do you know anybody who is otherwise legally entitled to vote in an American election that could not get some form of identification if necessary? Anybody?

I read the following in the Sunday supplement authored by a former Cook County (Chicago) prosecutor in the Buffalo News that was unintentionally revealing. . .
"These new ID laws are part of a larger Republican program to limit the franchise of people who are more likely to vote for Democrats, an effort that includes suppression of the youth vote by rejecting student IDs as acceptable identification and shortening the early voting periods young people disproportionably use to exercise their franchise; voter-roll purges that target minority voters; and lifetime bans on voting by ex-felons who have paid their debt to society."
Sure. Remove the felons, require proof of age for those too young to vote, require proof of citizenship . . . and before you know it, the Democrat Party's whole voter base would evaporate.
"Even as citizens across the Middle East are basking in newfound opportunities for political expression in the warmth of the Arab Spring, Republican politicians in America are limiting democracy with chilling voter suppression laws. Long ago we should have learned that the problems of democracy are resolved by more democracy, not less."
And therein lies the problem. What we should have learned long ago isn't that the problems of democracy are solved by more democracy. More democracy IS the problem.

More democracy, such as that demonstrated by the Arab Spring, turned Egypt over to the Muslim Brotherhood. More democracy handed control of the Gaza Strip over to Hamas.

Free and open elections gave the world Adolf Hitler, Ayatollah Khomeini, Hamid Karzai, Hugo Chavez, Nouri al-Malaki, etc. And in any case, it is comparing apples and oranges. Offering Democrat solutions to America's problems with democracy can't work.

Because America is not a democracy, thank God.

Sir William Blackstone was an English lawyer whose four-volume "Commentaries on the Law" came to be regarded as the basis for all Western common law. Noted Wikipedia's entry on Blackstone:
Sir William BlackstoneWilliam Searle Holdsworth, one of Blackstone's successors as Vinerian Professor, argued that "If the Commentaries had not been written when they were written, I think it very doubtful that [the United States], and other English speaking countries would have so universally adopted the common law". [2] In the United States, copies influenced Marshall, James Wilson, John Jay, John Adams, James Kent and Abraham Lincoln, and the Commentaries are cited in Supreme Court decisions between 10 and 12 times a year.
Sir William's Commentaries outline the differences between a Constitutional Republic, such as that of the United States, with a pure democracy, such as the one the US installed in Iraq.

Blackstone said that in a republic, certain laws are granted by the Divine and cannot be overturned by a majority decision, as would be the case in a pure democracy.

So the difference between a Republic and a Democracy is the source of its authority. A Republic, like the United States, derives the Source of its Authority to govern from God, whereas a democracy derives its authority to govern from the people.

The United States was set up to be governed by the people, but under the authority of God based on 'principles which did not change'. A government BY the people, FOR the people, but not FROM the people.

In the American republic, the "principles which did not change" and which were "certain and universal in their operation upon all the members of the community" were the principles of Biblical natural law.

In fact, so firmly were these principles ensconced in the American republic that early law books taught that government was free to set its own policy only if God had not ruled in an area.
"To instance in the case of murder: this is expressly forbidden by the Divine. . . . If any human law should allow or enjoin us to commit it we are bound to transgress that human law. . . . But, with regard to matters that are . . . not commanded or forbidden by those superior laws such, for instance, as exporting of wool into foreign countries; here the . . . legislature has scope and opportunity to interpose." - Sir William Blackstone, Commentaries on the Laws of England (Philadelphia: Robert Bell, 1771), Vol. I, pp. 42-43
We are often accused of being 'Far Right' in our views. Many of you probably believe you are Far Right because that's what the spin doctors want you to believe. The Far Right and the Far Left live in the alternate realities of spin and partisanship.

In the middle, devoid of spin, is the baseline reality. That reality is this: God is in charge.

He gave us the right to self government, bound by certain limits. None of our leaders are perfect, none follow God's law to the letter and all have conflicting agendas they want to advance.

The worldview that favors one side or the other at the expense of baseline reality is spin. Spin is another word for "lie."

The difference between a republic and a democracy was once widely understood in America. The U.S. War Department taught that difference in a training manual (No. 2000-25) published on November 30, 1928. This official U.S. government document stated:
"Our Constitutional fathers, familiar with the strength and weakness of both autocracy and democracy, with fixed principles definitely in mind, defined a representative republican form of government. They 'made a very marked distinction between a republic and a democracy and said repeatedly and emphatically that they had founded a republic.' "
The problem with pure democracy is that it has no rules. It puts no more limits on the power of the federal government than those desired by the majority of its population. America's Constitutional Republican system limits the power of government, regardless of the will of the majority.

It is based on trusting in a loving God that guarantees our individual liberties. To work, it must also believe that loving God exists.

Once God becomes a myth, one god is as good as another. Faith in God is replaced by faith in the system, and America's system, apart from God, is just another democracy.

One "having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof" (2nd Timothy 3:5).

"The American People" become supreme, and that is where the Left's faith resides; in democracy as embodied by "the American People".
"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient" (Romans 1:28).
It is fair to say that the more democratic one's worldview is, the less one likes retaining God in their knowledge. God opposes abortion, gay rights, the destruction of the family, and endorses prayer.

That is the endgame here. It isn't so much that the goal is the destruction of American capitalism or the American political system. The goal is the destruction of American faith and of American dependence upon God.

Remove God from American consciousness, and all the other things the Democrats demand as part of their political Shangri-la would fall into place automatically.
"Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. . ." (Matthew 24:12)

"Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful . . ." (Romans 1:29-31)
Someone once explained the difference between a pure democracy and a Constitutional republic this way.

In a pure democracy, two wolves and a sheep each get one vote on what is for dinner. In a Constitutional republic, voting on dinner would be prohibited by the Constitution.

And the sheep would be well-armed.
