The Nation of Osama

Several Western countries have pressured Israel to accept Hamas as a "partner for peace" in the wake of it joining the Palestinian Authority government led by Mahmoud Abbas.

Hamas, as I have brought to my readers' attention in the past, has a charter and that charter is about anything but making peace with Israel. To the contrary the charter of Hamas clearly states that the purpose of its existence is the creation of an Islamic state in Palestine and the obliteration or dissolution of Israel.

Bearing the above in mind, in conjunction with President Obama's recent betrayal of Israel, let's look at what the peaceful Palestinians residing in areas of Gaza controlled by Hamas are celebrating and looking forward to accomplishing through the peace process that President Obama (and leaders around the world) is pressuring Israel to be more accepting of.

Israel National News is reporting that Palestinians in Hamas-controlled Gaza are honoring and celebrating the accomplishments of one Osama bin Laden.

One of the celebrated accomplishments of bin Laden? His leading of the "Global Front for Jihad against America and its allies, the worshippers of the cross."

How does President Obama, supposedly a Bible-believing Christian, convince himself to support a so-called "peace effort" involving a Palestinian government consisting, in part, of clearly anti-Christian and America-loathing people, as well as elements bent on the literal destruction of a staunch U.S. ally in Israel? I have no idea, but it's nonsensical when you think about it.

Worse than what I've discussed thus far is the long-term goal of the purportedly peace-seeking Palestinians - the creation of an entire nation of Osama bin Ladens. Sheikh Munir Al-'Aydi, praising Osama bin Laden before crowds at a recent Gaza gathering, revealed what a future Palestinian state will look like when he said, "You are not dead, oh Osama. You live on in the hearts of us all. Osama lives on in the heart of every man. All our sons are Osama. Our entire nation is Osama."

A nation of Osama bin Ladens? The United States is currently involved in a global war against terror and yet, by virtue of its support of a Palestinian state coming into existence, bizarrely supporting the creation of an entire nation of Osama bin Ladens at the same time. Does that make any sense? Not from where I'm sitting.

Jesus Christ once said that "every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand." (Matthew 12:25)

From a biblical perspective the United States is placing itself in grave danger by supporting the Palestinians in their efforts to break God's everlasting covenant with the children of Israel (Genesis 17:17-18, Genesis 12:3). Not only that, the United States is a house divided against itself, fighting terrorism on one hand while furthering the cause of self-proclaimed enemies of the cross openly dedicated to terrorism on the other.

It's enough to make one wonder why the U.S. even bothered with killing Osama bin Laden.
