Antisemitism and the Holocaust

German scholar Clemens Heni said: “There is no other prejudice or form of racism which you can compare to this centuries-long hatred (anti-Semitism) which has no real justification. If you look at Islam today, there is a point to Islamophobia because Jihadists say, ‘We want to kill the unbelievers.’ Jews never said that. Because as a German I have a responsibility to deal with my own history, and if I see that other Germans want to downplay anti-Semitism and to minimize the threat of Islamic jihad and other forms of anti-Zionism—I think there is something deeply wrong, they didn’t learn the lesson from the Holocaust, they are even downplaying the Holocaust itself.”

God says: “How awful that day will be! None will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it …Why do you cry out over your wound, your pain that has no cure? Because of your great guilt and many sins I have done these things to you.” “But all who devour you will be devoured; all your enemies will go into exile. Those who plunder you will be plundered; all who make spoil of you I will despoil. But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares YAHWEH, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’” (Jeremiah 30:7, 15-17)

The Jerusalem Connection says: The Scriptures indicate the Holocaust under Hitler is a preview of a far greater holocaust to come. Before it was the Axis powers, then it will be “all the nations of the earth are gathered against her.” [Zechariah 12:3]. Growing anti-Semitism in Europe and the Muslim world, including academia in America are the trend lines of worse things to come. The Scriptures are clear, there will be peace in Jerusalem when, and only when, Messiah comes. It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better – and that goes for Christians as well as Jews. Our prayer should be the one Jesus told us to pray, “Be always on the watch and pray that you may have the power to escape all that is about to happen and to stand before the Son of Man.” [Luke 21:36]. In the mean time maybe we should consider how over 1 million Jews were preserved during WWII – namely through safe-houses. For more on this go to our website.
