Christians Unequally Yoked

Recently in Washington, an attorney friend pointed out that career civil servants and federal officials were being driven out of their jobs and pressured to resign. The administration policy was to replace them with lesbian, gay, bisexual, "transgender" people, and others.

In fact, on the Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute's website, it calls for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender leaders to secure spots in the Obama administration. When they do, their tenure will last way past Obama's term(s).

The impact of this radical infiltration of government is already being felt with private companies being harassed on spurious claims. As Sharon Sebastian notes:

Coming to the forefront of the congressional agenda is a bill called ENDA – the cleverly named Employment Non-Discrimination Act. In actuality, it discriminates against employers of faith whether they be Jewish or Christian. ENDA will force employers with 15 or more employees to allow workers to gender-cross-dress or openly display homosexual conduct in the workplace. In effect, government wants to control how your business is managed based on whom you hire. Even gay employers who wish to run a professional business environment will be forced to succumb to a gender-confused employee's style choice of the day. Christian and Jewish businesses, day care centers, auto repair shops, sports organizations, hospitals, private schools and so on can end up fined, punished or bankrupt if they do not comply with ENDA.

Discrimination is banned in hiring whether employees are heterosexual or homosexual. Every employer should see to it. But, employees seeking "special privileges" based on personal choice of appearance or behavior to the disadvantage of the employer is an exception and infringement on employers' rights. …

President Obama has set government and faith on a collision course. Obama handpicked Chai Feldblum, a lesbian activist, as a commissioner of the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) and chief strategist of ENDA. Ms. Feldblum reportedly seeks to subjugate the constitutional rights of religious freedom to the wants of the gay community. She is quoted as "having a hard time coming up with any case in which religious liberty should win." She is often credited with saying that when it comes to ENDA policies: "Gays win, Christians lose" – though that may be more of a summed-up sentiment than a direct quote. In addition, Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank, who introduced ENDA, considers it his most important legislation.

Obama handpicked a gay "[safe] schools czar" who promotes homosexuality in schools and reportedly supports NAMBLA, an organization that believes in sex between men and boys. …
Looking at the Gay & Lesbian Leadership's site, one wonders if any Christian leadership organizations have attempted the same influence and, if not, why not? Of course, if they did, they'd be condemned under the fallacy and unconstitutional idea of "separation of church and state."

More importantly, how did we get to this situation? It's mainly because we have forgotten the biblical principle not to be unequally yoked with heretics and hedonists and their ideas. In fact, we've allowed Marxists shibboleths such as tolerance, which is diametrically opposed to love and truth, to beguile us into joining forces and electing and appointing those who hate us.

If we are going to survive, we have to start operating as a Christian community set apart by God while also helping others to be transformed so they can be delivered from the besetting sins that are keeping them from fulfilling who they are in Christ and that are goading them into hating all things that are moral, decent and wise.
